To disinfect the surface make a solution of half water and half isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle. Hot water and dish soap should be adequate for daily sanitizing. Isopropyl rubbing alcohol cleans and shines your granite countertops in minutes. Cleaning granite countertops with windex can be a problem.

First wipe the counter surface with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. However if a disinfectant is desired reach for a bottle of 70 isopropyl alcohol. Spray it onto the granite allow to sit for three to five minutes and then rinse with water and dry with a clean microfiber cloth. Denatured alcohol it turns out does wonders for cleaning granite and cutting through film buildup on your counters.

Spray your granite countertops with the denatured alcohol and water mix and wipe down with a clean microfiber. Dry the counter thoroughly with a clean microfiber cloth. Do not use ammonia vinegar or lemon cleaners which are all acidic and may eat away at the surface. Careful because it evaporates quickly and will be gone before you know it. Pour one half cup of rubbing alcohol one half teaspoon of dish soap and one and a half cups of warm water into the spray bottle. Denatured alcohol it turns out does wonders for cleaning granite and cutting through film buildup on your counters.

Add water to fill the rest of the spray bottle and give a light shake. You should only use specialized cleaners not windex or ammonia. The result is the original shiny surface. Don t use vinegar windex or bleach on granite.

For a deeper clean use a special granite cleaner or make your own by combining dish detergent and rubbing alcohol. Avoid bleach or ammonia based cleaners. Pour denatured alcohol into the spray bottle filling it up about three quarters full.
